How bike rental works

Three steps from picking a frame size to the bike arriving at your hotel. No paperwork before you get here.

Pick a bike and a size

Each size is booked individually, so a size that shows as free is yours to book, not “we will see what is left”.

Choose your dates and times

Minimum rental is three days. We are open Monday to Saturday, so a hire starts and ends on one of those days. You can ride through Sunday and hand the bike over on an open day. 10% off the bike from 5 days. No code, nothing to ask for: the booking form takes it off.

We bring it to you

The van runs before the shop opens: 09:00 to 10:00 in Protaras and Ayia Napa, 06:00 to 07:00 in Larnaca, Monday to Saturday. €20 to Protaras, €25 to Ayia Napa, €60 to Larnaca, each way, per trip, plus €5 for each extra bike on the same trip. A €100 refundable damage deposit is taken at handover.

Which bike suits you

  • A small frame: the Cube Attain Black with rim brakes, or the Cube Attain Disc White with discs. For a partner, a teenager, or anyone a medium frame stretches.
  • Easy holiday kilometres: the Cube Attain Blue or the Cube Attain Green. Comfortable aluminium road bikes with rim brakes, still kind to your back on day five.
  • Cube Attain Pro Black. The step up in the Attain range, for the longer days out towards Cape Greco and Ayia Napa.
  • Cube Attain Disc. Disc brakes in three frame sizes, so riders of different heights can take the same bike on the same ride. Hire it if you ride discs at home.
  • Eddy Merckx AMX1.5. For tall riders: large and extra large frames, and a 10-speed drivetrain for holding a rhythm on the long flat roads.
  • Orbea MX 30 Hardtail. The mountain bike. Take it if your riding is half road, half dirt: a 29in hardtail with disc brakes for the Cape Greco tracks.

Not sure between two of them? Work out your frame size below, or call the shop and describe the riding you have planned. We would rather put you on the right bike than the expensive one.

Which frame size do I book?

Each frame size is booked as its own bike, so the size is a decision you make before you pay rather than something we sort out on the day. Two measurements and we will tell you which one, and which bikes we hold it in.

Which frame size do I need?

Two measurements and we will tell you the frame size to book and which of our bikes we hold it in.

Without shoes.

Optional, and much the better answer. Floor to crotch, shoes off, back to a wall.

Worked out from your inseam × 0.665, the standard road-frame rule, measured centre-to-top. It is a starting point, not a bike fit: leg-to-torso ratio, flexibility and how you like to ride all move it. We check the fit at handover and adjust the bike before you leave with it.

Still between two sizes?

Send Ramo your height, your inseam and the riding you have planned. He will tell you which bike and which size before you book. He is the one who hands it over and checks the fit anyway.

What bike rental includes

  • A serviced bike, set up to your height, with bottle cages.
  • Puncture kit: a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump.
  • Free pedal fitting: bring your own pedals and shoes, and we will put them on.
  • Local advice: the roads worth riding, and the ones to avoid in traffic.

What is not included

  • A saddle bag. Bring one if you want to carry the tube and levers on the bike rather than in a jersey pocket.
  • Bottles: the cages are on the bike, the bottles are not. Bring or buy, and plenty in summer.
  • Helmet and pedals: add-ons at the booking step, charged per day of the rental.

At the end of the rental

The pump, the spare tube and the tyre levers come back with the bike, along with anything else we sent out with it. If you used the spare tube, it is replaced at €10. The bike itself comes back clean, dry and working, and the €100 deposit is returned when it does. Full detail on the rental terms page.

Delivery and collection are charged per trip each way: Protaras €20, Ayia Napa €25, Larnaca €60, plus €5 for each extra bike on the same trip. Or collect the bike from the shop for nothing, any open day before 12:00.

Renting a bike in Cyprus

The short answers. The long ones are in the bike hire FAQ.

How do I rent a bike in Cyprus?

Pick a bike and your frame size on the slider above, choose your dates and book online. We bring the bike to your hotel in Protaras, Ayia Napa or Larnaca before the shop opens, or you collect it from our shop in Paralimni. Either way it is set up to your height before you ride away.

How much does it cost to rent a bike in Cyprus?

Road bikes and the mountain bike from €25 a day. Each bike’s own rate is on the slider above. 10% off the bike from 5 days. Delivery is €20 to Protaras, €25 to Ayia Napa and €60 to Larnaca each way, plus €5 for each extra bike on the same trip, or nothing if you collect the bike from the shop. A helmet and pedals are extras at the booking step.

Can I rent a bike for just one day?

Not on its own: the minimum rental is three days. If one ride is what you are after, join a guided tour and hire one of our bikes for that day with the tour booking.

Where should I ride?

Start on the coast between Protaras and Ayia Napa, out past Cape Greco: cycling routes around Protaras and Ayia Napa. For longer days, browse Ramo’s route library, and read how safe cycling in Cyprus is before your first ride on the island’s roads.
